I do have some recordings I've made using VDL in conjunction with some other pretty cool sounds. If that would suffice, here is a link to one of my most recent shows that makes great use of VDL - http://www.visaudiodesigns.com/audio/ip_wi.mp3. It's an indoor percussion show entitled "What If" that was commissioned this year by Brookwood High school . The only sounds in the recording that aren't Virtual Drumline are the obviously synthesized sounds that sounds like they come from an electric piano or synthesizer.

As a composer, Mr. Rath has a growing list of original works and arrangements published through TRN Music, C. Alan Publications, Tapspace Publications, HoneyRock Publications, Key Poulan Music, JW3 Publications and Eric Rath Music. His music has been described as "very exciting for performers and audiences alike." Mr. Rath’s piece “Paramount Park” for Grade 2 Band, was the winner of the first Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) Composition Contest. Mr. Rath’s compositions have been performed at the Midwest Clinic and the Texas Music Educator’s Association Convention. Mr. Rath, along with Ralph Hicks, is co-author of the Percussion Ensemble Collection, "Beyond Basic Percussion: Developing Independence Through Ensemble Performance (Tapspace Publications)."
Digital Metronome Updates
Not sure which model you need? There are many models to pick from and it depends what you are using the metronome for. If you need a metronome for music purposes, any model will work well, but there are some with more features than others. Below are a few tips to help you choose a model.
The Boss Dr Beat metronomes are the most advanced models, having features not found in other metronome models.. These models are excellent teaching tools for learning simple or complex rhythms. All Dr Beat models are digital metronomes. The Boss Dr Beat metronome DB90 is a talking metronome.. it will count out loud with a voice. The DB90 will also count very complex rhythms, with all parts of the beat being controllable. The Boss - DB60 has most of the same features as the DB 90, with out the voice and a few other features. All Dr. Beat metronomes come with a manual with full instructions.
The Korg BeatLab metronome is one of the most advanced metronomes available and has many of the features of the Dr Beat metronomes.... each part of the beat can be controlled through volume controls. There are many rhythm memory settings, so you can pre-set all of the tempos and rhythms and quickly select all of your memorized settings.39 preset rudiment patterns. This model is a compact advanced rhythm trainer.
Quartz and keywound models are a little easier to use than digital models, as you can dial the tempo quickly with a quartz model - a digital model requires pressing a button till you get to the tempo. - Look at Matrix, Seiko and the Wittner Mt70 for great quartz models at a low price.
Digital Metronomes have many features and will increment the the tempo by one beat at a time. With a digital metronome you can get the tempos 60,61,63,64... etc. Quartz and keywound models use musical tempos to determine the increments.
Need a loud metronome... the loudest are the Matrix Mr600, and Seiko Sq70 . Need a very loud metronome -- for chorus, band, orchestra, large groups... look at the MetroAmp packages.
