Please read following documents with a Friday, August 15, 2008 deadline
for returning page 5 with both student and parent signatures
required for enrollment in the 7th grade computer class at Carmody Middle
School. Both of these forms can also be read and printed out at home or
work from the following URL’s provided below.
- Student Contract (pages 2 through 5) with emphasis
on classroom behavior, individual rewards, consequences, grading criteria,
extra-credit, bonus points, class web site that includes on-line Internet
grades 24/7, curriculum, lesson plans, late and make-up policies, work,
phone contact and V.I.P. e-mail communication opportunities all to better
stay up-to-date with your child’s learning endeavors. URL is:
- Need parent e-mail addresses on page 7 form. Be sure
to note that it would be very much appreciated if you could provide
an e-mail address with required Student Contract form to be filled out
by parents so that Dr. Data can send you weekly class newsletters. These
newsletters will keep you up-to-date about what's taking place in his
classes. And if your e-mail address works as written, your child will
earn an additional 50 points besides the 100 points for returning the
required Student Contract form. That's a total of 150 points in your
child's grade book!
- Success Guaranteed in Dr. Data's Classes if Students/Parents
Follow These Guidelines! (Pages 7, 8 and 9). URL is: <http://www.kuzmich.com/carmody/Success.html>.
- Carmody offers a computer club (Whiz Chips Club)
open to all students at Carmody that meets every Monday from 2:20 to 3 p.m. in the PC Lab. Students will learn how to
construct computer games with graphical animation effects and sound
effects.
Hope this information assists your child and you in knowing how to maximize
learning in the 7th grade elective computer class at Carmody Middle School.
