Dear Carmody 7th Grade Computer Class Parents and Students:
- Thank you for a fantastic semester of instruction. Your children were and are wonderful. Dr. Data thoroughly enjoyed teaching the 7th grade Carmoday Middle School Elective Computer class.
- Beginning this fall, all instruction will be entirely interactive web-based which will probably be the very first one in Jeffersonn County or maybe even in the entire state of Colorado. This is monumental when considering that the entire curriculum is Dr. Data's very own creation! Nothing published or "out of the box" materials and it will continue to be expanded for 2006-2007 school year, even the databases will be available on-line. Please continue to send your younger children to Dr. Data and they will learn all they needin technology for their education years till college and maybe even beyond. And even if they never take another computer class before college. Here's a summary of what is covering in the one-semester Carmody Middle School 7th Grade Elective Computer class.

- Entry and intermediate levels of tutorials for learning how to construct computer games in Klik & Play and Multimedia Fusion
- More on-line tutorials for learning word processing in Microsoft Word, Clarisworks, Excel, Internet search engines, PowerPoint and other applications.
- More on-line assessment tests and practice tests for more thorough mastery of each and every unit of instruction.
- Syllabus for parents of what software applications are used in the semester class will be published so both students and parents can more fully participate with the on-line interactive web-based instruction for the entire semeseter.
- Parents will be allowed to participant in the entire interactive web-based instruction so that they can learn, practice and master any and/or all instructional phases of the class plus be able to better assist their children at home.
- Parents will be allowed to attend any class during the semester to learn simultaneously with their children. In fact, extra computers will be available in class so parents can participate at their workstations.
Thank you for the opportunity to teach your children. Hope this information is helpful and looking forward to the 2006-2007 school year with an enhanced on-line interactive web-based curriculum. More features will be incorporated than those listed above.
Have a great summer! Dr. Data is presently driving to St. Louis this evening and will attend the St. Louis Cardinals baseball game on Monday at the New Busch Stadium among other familiar sights including the Dale Chuluy glass exhibition at the Missouri Bontanical Gardens and the St. Louis Zoo.
Till next time,
Dr. Data
