Dear Carmody 7th & 8th Dr. Data Computer Class Parents and Students:

1. Mid-term progress reports have been distributed today to all students. Please review and sign progress reports for 100 points by Friday that go into your child's grade book. Zero points if not returned.
   
   
2. For the latest grades (including today which makes it more up-to-date than today's progress report), go to Carmody's Parent Portal at: Carmody's Parent Portal at https://campus.jeffco.k12.co.us/campus/portal/jeffco_IC.jsp and log in.
   
   
3. Sometimes students forget to submit the assignments consequently Dr. Data doesn't enter the grades and they appear as missing, "M."
   
   
   • Unable to save or print.
   • Student forgot to pick up their printout at the printer to submit to Dr. Data
   • Sometimes students forget to type/print their name on the assignment when submitting to Dr. Data
   • Sometimes students forget to save their work on the school server.
   • Sometimes the wireless system doesn't always save correctly to the Internet grading site. Consequently, there could inadvertently be some missing grades for your child even at this late date even though they have been added to his "wireless" notebook computer. Therefore, the Carmody Parent Portal should alert both parents and students on a daily basis of any and all missing assignments/tests that have completed. And then those missing grades could still be submitted to the district before the Wednesday morning, May 28, 2008 grade submission deadline. Please utilize the Carmody Parent Portal at https://campus.jeffco.k12.co.us/campus/portal/jeffco_IC.jsp to know if all assignments are accurately recorded and that your child is keeping up with Dr. Data's assignments and tests.

   Imnportant reminder: all missing assignments are web-based and can be downloaded 24/7 since they have no relationship with the PC Lab. situation. Including this evening and this weekend.

4. An "M" grade means the student has not submitted it to Dr. Data, but it can be resubmitted for full credit. But note, a "M" is recorded as a zero until it is changed, some student grades could have gone down this week because the "M" has been flagged into the grading system since it is the end of the grading period. But students still have till Wednesday, May 27th to rectify this situation!!! Take advantage of it.

5. Hope the progress reports help. Dr. Dr. will not be available for after school help on this Wednesday, Friday and next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. All other days are available for extra help and use of the computer lab by students. All assignments can be completed at home.
