This workshop is offered free to music educators and their students becasue we believe that the understanding of
MIDI fundamentals is essential to the success of the music Technology Movement.
During this 2 hour class, you will learn:
- What to look for in a computer
- How to buy a computer
- How to buy a portable digital MIDI keyboard
- How to use a sampler
- How to hook it all together
- How to use standard MIDI files
- Using built in rhythm machines
- The use of micotunings for world musicc and authentic Baroque recreations
- How to create play-along recordings on your keyboard.
Participants will be using both PC and Macintosh computers.
Keyboards are provided by Yamaha Corporation of America.
