Scholarship participant at the 1999 Hot Springs Music Festival Repertory Orchestra in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas with half of the orchestra equally comprised of college and professional musicians, respectively. This orchestra is featured on two CD recordings being released in January, 2000 on the Marco Polo/Naxos label performing orchestral, vocal and chamber music.

Studied with the Turtle Island String Quartet and John Blake at the 1999 "Jazz In July" workshops at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Co-Founder of the first jazz string chamber ensemble at the University of North Texas.

Attended University of North Texas Chamber Music Institute in Crested Butte, Colorado, July, 1998 and 1999.
