Master's degree candidate in string pedagogy at Arizona State
University in Tempe, Arizona, majoring in string pedagogy.
- Graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance with Cum Laude Honors from the University of North
Texas, August, 2002.
- Graduated from Green Mountain High School with a four-year
college oriented curriculum including units of instruction: Language Arts,
Math, French, History, Forensics, Orchestra, Choir, and Government. Honor
student at Green Mountain High School.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
- Music: Concert violinist, jazz and classical vocalist and pianist.
- Forensics: Original Orator and Humorous Speaker for Green Mountain High
School, placed third in 1994 Jefferson County School District Meet and lettered
first- year on the team. 2nd place in the State of Colorado for Duet Acting
in 1993.

- Scholarship participant at the 1999 Hot Springs Music Festival Repertory
Orchestra in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas with half of the orchestra
equally comprised of college and professional musicians, respectively. This
orchestra is featured on two CD recordings being released in January, 2000
on the Marco Polo/Naxos label performing orchestral, vocal and chamber music.
- Studied with the Turtle Island String Quartet and John Blake at the 1999
"Jazz In July" workshops at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst,
Massachusetts.
- Co-Founder of the first jazz string chamber ensemble at the University
of North Texas.
- Attended University of North Texas Chamber Music Institute in Crested
Butte, Colorado, July, 1998 and 1999. Studied with Bert Ligon with a commissioned
composition for the University of North Texas "Swing Strings" and "String
Fling" at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Masschusetts, August, 1998
with Matt Glaser, Darol Anger and John Blake.

- Attended the 1999 and 2000 Jamey Aebersold Jazz Combo Camps at Elmhurst
College in Chicago and the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky,
respectively.
- Member of the University of Texas Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras, 1997-99.
- Winner of the 1996 University of Wyoming String Master Class Competition
with the Emerson String Quartet.
- Finalist in the American College Dance Festival (Texas region competition),
1998. Violinist with modern dance trio.
- Member of the 1996 and 1997 Colorado All-State Orchestras.
- Concert mistress of the Front Range Youth Orchestra.
- Scholarship member of the Denver Young Artist Orchestra for 1996-97.
- First violinist in the Colorado Youth Pops Orchestra for 1996 season.
One of four violins selected in a 30-piece orchestra. Members receive a
$1,000 college scholarship.
- Studies violin with Mr. Phil Lewis at the University of North Texas and
previously with Mr. Harold Wippler, former concert master of the Colorado
Symphony Orchestra.
- Alto voice member of the 1996 and 1997 Colorado All-State Choirs.
- Lead part in the Green Mountain High School musicals, "Oklahoma" and "Bye,
Bye Birdie."
- Received a special citation for outstanding vocal musicianship at the
1996 University of Northern Colorado/Greeley Jazz Festival.
- Participated in the Music Teacher's National Association Piano Guild Ensemble
Competition and performed in the honors concert in 1994, 1995 and 1996.
- Performed in Green Mountain High School's Orchestra (concert mistress),
Jazz Band II (electric bass), and the select choir "Shadows of the Mountain."
- Member of Green Mountain High School Government Club Mock Trial and Mock
Congress teams since 1994. Mock Trial team advanced to state competition
in 1995.
- Participated in a one-week Creativity Chamber Music course at Saddleback
College in Mission Viejo, California, 1994. Performed 1st violin in Franz
Schubert's "Trout" Quintet.
EMPLOYMENT:
- Disneyland Corporation, Anaheim, California. Responsibilities include
guest control and pre-show activities for the Hunchback of Notre Dame
show.
- Camelot Golfland, Anaheim, California. Assistant group co-ordinator.
- Selwyn School, Denton, Texas. Part-time violin teacher for the private
K-8 school.
HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
Multi interests: downhill skiing, ballroom dancing, writing, acting and hiking.
